“Located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, just north of Asheville, we are currently constructing this 5,600 square foot custom home, designed by Con Dameron, owner of The Architectural Practice. The exterior will be noted for its impressive stone columns, steeper roof lines, and the warmth of cedar shakes. The design incorporates some ‘age in place’ features, including a provision for an elevator, a curbless master shower, and subtle floor transitions, for a home that can be enjoyed for decades to come. The site, designed by Siteworks Studios, incorporates a cobblestone courtyard at the center, with the residence and associated structures built around the courtyard. The landscaping includes natural boulders, some from the site itself, along with a firepit area, as well as some natural springs that will be incorporated in the design.”
